Coping with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Related Writing*

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a neurological disorder affecting many of us who have suffered trauma. 

PTSD is complex and messy and can take over your life if you let it. I've battled it for decades, so I know how arduous it can be.

But I've found that by regulating my nervous system, following a sensory diet and practicing mindfulness every day, I am slowly finding myself again. And I'm learning to feel safe in my body and in the environment I'm in.

I hope you feel safe again very soon too.
