Somatic trauma is trauma that affects the body and can lead to complications such as neurological disorder, chronic pain and illness. 

Healing from trauma of any kind is an extensive and intricate process, but by regulating our nervous systems, following a sensory diet and practicing mindfulness, I believe we can heal.**
